Rochdale 1 - 0 Maidenhead

Rochdale AFC v Maidenhead
Devante Rodney scored the only goal as Rochdale beat Maidenhead at the Crown Oil Arena on Saturday to make it three wins in a row.
There was little in the way of attempts at goal until midway through the first half and even then just shots from distance that didn’t trouble either goalkeeper.
As the half time break came closer Rochdale began to apply more pressure on the Maidenhead defence and it told when a Kairo Mitchell shot was saved by Maidenhead goalkeeper Craig Ross, but first to react to the loose ball was Devante Rodney, whose header into the top corner gave Dale the lead.
Maidenhead had a couple of chances before half time, the closest being a header from Will de Havilland which went just wide.
The second half started as the first half did with neither side making any real impact until midway through the half.
Ebanks-Landell had an opportunity from a Ryan East corner, but his attempt went wide, and for Maidenhead a de Havilland shot was well saved by Dale’s goalkeeper, Jacob Chapman, who looked very assured on his Rochdale debut having signed on loan from Huddersfield Town.
Jimmy Keohane looked sure to double Dale’s lead after a Mitchell pass found him just yards from the Maidenhead goal, but Ross pulled off a superb save to keep his team in the game.
Maidenhead supporters must have thought a Casey Pettit shot would give their team a share of the points as it looked destined for the bottom corner, but Chapman made another fine save to ensure Dale took all three points.
