Le Fondre on his way

Date published: 02 July 2007

The long running Adam Le Fondre 'saga' may be close to an end as Rochdale and Stockport County have reached agreement on an undisclosed fee for the 20-year-old striker that manager Keith Hill has described as his "priority target" throughout the summer.

Le Fondre who initially arrived at Spotland on a loan deal in January of this year, scoring four goals in seven games is yet to agree personal terms at Spotland, but along with his representatives will be meeting club officials in the very near future.

Chairman Chris Dunphy whilst jokingly admitting that the "purse is now shut" is very happy with the capture of a player that he says is "a real one for the future".

New boys Tom Kennedy, Ben Muirhead, Nathan D'Laryea and Kalum Higginbotham have completed the formalities of their moves whilst Lee Crooks, Adam Rundle and Gary Brown signed their new deals.
