Special promotion period deadline extended

Rochdale Football Club have today announced that the Special Promotion Period for the sale of season tickets has been extended until the end of the month and the deadline will therefore be extended until 5.00pm on the 1 June.

The Club would like to thank all those supporters who have already renewed their season tickets and showed their commitment to the Club and to help John Coleman and Jimmy Bell prepare for next seasons campaign.

The Club will still go ahead with the planned draw on May 8 for those supporters who purchased their season ticket before the original deadline and one lucky supporter will win the price of their season ticket back.

In addition those supporters who do purchase their season ticket before the original May 7 deadline will be entered in to another draw with those supporters who take advantage of the Extended Deadline and one more supporter will win the price of their season ticket back and a further 5 supporters will win a consolation prize of a £50.00 Co-operative voucher.

In announcing the Extended Deadline, Chairman Chris Dunphy said: "We have spoken to a number of supporters recently regarding the sale of season tickets, and after taking on board the feedback put our way, we felt it was appropriate to extend the Special Promotion Period.

Obviously everyone connected with the Club is disappointed after our relegation was confirmed but we also recognise that there is a difficult financial climate happening at the moment and we understand the financial constraints placed on many supporters and their families".

Mr Dunphy concluded by saying: "We are a club that likes to listen and react, and after the hearing the concerns of our supporters, we have made a decision to extend the promotion period until the end of the month to allow more fans to take advantage of the savings that can be made during this time, we thank those supporters who have already committed to the Club by renewing their season ticket and we hope this extension will benefit other supporters".

Manager, John Coleman added his support to the Club's decision to extend the Special Promotion Period and commented: "Since joining the Club the support from the fans has been fantastic and I am in full support of the Club extending the special promotion deadline for season tickets. The stronger we are as club financially gives me and Jimmy a better chance of attracting the players we want to the Club and I only see this as a win win situation as our supporters benefit also."
