Raise the Roof at Spotland

Date published: 12 March 2008

Sunday afternoon sees Rochdale AFC's latest match day initiative as they look to fans to 'Raise the Roof' when they take on Accrington Stanley.

Chairman Chris Dunphy explains: "We are looking to create a better atmosphere at Spotland and for this game we are asking fans to give the WMG Stand a go on a one off basis. If we are to achieve our goals this season we know that we have to win our home games and our supporters can play a very big part in that by creating an intimidating atmosphere.

"Season ticket holders from other parts of the ground can switch for the day on the production of the relevant voucher. Sunday is about the team and the club. it is not about stands, seats or terracing. As ever try and bring your mates along. There is nowhere else that they can watch professional football for just £10.00 this weekend.

"Our commercal department has written a letter to every amateur football side in the borough advising them of the fixture change and we hope that some of our amateur players who are normally occupied on a Saturday can get along to give our professional ones some support."

To get in the WMG on the day will cost just £10.00 for adults whilst it is only £3.00 for concessions.

Studd's Bar will be open early and will once again have "vastly" reduced prices as well as showing Manchester City v Spurs on the big screen at 4.00pm.
