Three boys from Rochdale part of cup final winning team

Connor Ronan, Kisimba Kisimba and Jonathan Diba, who all attend St. Cuthbert’s RC High School, Rochdale were part of the Greater Manchester U16 team that won the English Schools FA Inter County Trophy. The team beat Lancashire 2-1 after extra time at Coventry’s Ricoh Arena on Saturday 15 March 2014.
Connor was captain and assisted in both goals, being awarded man of the match. Kisimba played at right back and Jonathan, a goalkeeper, was a half time substitution.
The Greater Manchester Team is made up of boys, presently in Year 11, from across the county.
The nationwide competition has seen the team beat Northumberland, North Yorkshire, Sussex and Durham en route to the final.
The three boys have been offered a two year scholarships from Rochdale AFC starting next year.
