Centuries all round for Norden Cricket

The record books were out at Norden on Sunday night, to establish if four Stags' players had scored centuries on the same day.

New professional Daniel Salpietro scored 114 not out and Simon Harman hit an unbeaten 108 as the senior team defeated Werneth by 10 wickets at the Coppice.

Ross Collin slammed 145 and Jack Harrison hit 136 as the third team beat Copley in a Halifax League cup tie.

The Lake Garage CLL game at Werneth saw the home side total 228 on a white wicket made for runs.

Ali Muzaffer scored 80, and Levi Thompson-Matthews scored 53.

Martin Smith and Salpietro each took three wickets.

Norden's amazing reply was 232-0.

Those centuries for the third team came in a Norden total of 361-8.

Copley were all out for 178, Joe Humphreys taking 3-29.

Adam Ahmed took four for 30 and Paul Morrell had figures of three for 24 as Norden seconds dismissed Werneth seconds for 134.

Norden went on to win by seven wickets. Asif Saeed scored 52, and Greg Tattersall was 34 not out.
