Mayfield's latest crop of rugby league scholarship winning players

Mayfield's latest crop of rugby league scholarship winning players are taken to their respective clubs where they train and play under the guidance of the best coaches available throughout the country.

They are given advice on fitness and nutrition as well as being taught the finer points of the game.

Players get scholarships at professional clubs after being spotted by talent scouts.

The scholarship winning players:

  • Jack McConachie - Salford Red Devils
  • Jordan Cella - Salford Red Devils
  • Jordan Strand - Salford Red Devils
  • Matthew Lees - Bradford Bulls
  • Matthew Chrimes - Bradford Bulls
  • Dillon Critchley - Bradford Bulls
  • Lewis Ainley - Bradford Bulls
  • Zac Baker - Bradford Bulls
  • Joe Scofield - Bradford Bulls
  • Munya Samanyanga - Bradford Bulls
  • Lewis Butterworth - Bradford Bulls
  • Cameron Connolly - Wigan Warriors

Mayfield Mustangs chairman Wayne Hartley said: "We are immensely proud here at Mayfield about the achievements of these young players.

"We strive to give them the best we can at Mayfield and this shows we must be doing something right.

"To have so many of the lads on scholarships at super league clubs is a great achievement for us, and above all is testament to the dedication of the players and their coaches."
