Ian Henderson signs contract extension
Date published: 20 June 2014
Ian Henderson has signed a contract extension, committing himself to Rochdale Football Club for a further year.
The fans favourite still had a year remaining on his current contract, but the new deal now sees the 29-year-old contracted to the League One side until the summer of 2016.
Dale Manager Keith Hill told the club’s official website: “I’m really pleased. Hendo has been an integral part of the reinvention of Rochdale Football Club. Not only that he is football wise, he is street wise and he is mentally mature as a person.
“He has a found football club that has a common goal with Ian Henderson, with respect to the way that we want to play the game, the way we train, the way we communicate with one another and the way we respect one another. He has, if you like, found a bit of a footballing home and he is integral to the development and the future of the football club.
“For him to sign the extension shows great testament to the belief he has, not just in me, but the squad of players that we’ve got.”
