Dave Duffy presented with red and white sixth Dan belt

Dave Duffy of Rochdale Judo Club has been presented with his red and white sixth Dan belt by Pat Byrne from British Judo.

Dave, a judoka for the last 43 years and a former employee of British Judo, achieved his fifth Dan ten years ago and after a recent BJA Governing Body Meeting, it was decided that Dave qualified for the highest award that British Judo can give.

One of the highest qualified coaches in England, Dave has taught hundreds of player’s throughout the years, including three Olympians and was responsible for modernising and developing British Judo Coaching at the highest level.

Dave is now one of three sixth Dans at Rochdale Judo Club.
