Hornets v St Helens cancelled
Date published: 29 January 2015
Due to the forecast adverse weather over the next 24-48 hours the decision has been made to cancel the proposed warm up fixture with St Helen's.
The game, which was due to be played at Langtree Park tomorow (Friday 30 January), will not be rescheduled.
St Helens have a season opener with Catalan Dragons and the sold out World Club Challenge game against South Sydney Rabbitohs due at Langtree Park over the next couple of weeks so a new date is not possible.
Spotland Stadium was suggested as an alternative and the Stadium Company gave the green light but with more snow set to fall it is in the best interests of players and supporters not to risk a late call off.
Hornets will next be in action in the Supporters Direct Shield clash with Hunslet Hawks on Sunday 8 February, 3pm kick off at Spotland Stadium.
Discounted advance tickets will be on sale from Monday morning.
