The green Hornets

Date published: 15 May 2015

The newest superheroes in town are in action this Saturday, 5.30, Spotland stadium.

Rochdale Hornets have undergone a transformation and for one match only, The Green Hornets will take to the field at Spotland Stadium, in aid of the Springhill Hospice Go Green Day.

Each year the hospice look to raise awareness and funds by asking companies and individuals to Go Green, which is the trademark colour of Springhill.

This year, Hornets will wear their green away kit for this Saturday's Kingstone Press League One fixture against Oxford.

There is £2 off adult ticket prices and Hornets will donate 50% of the profits to the hospice.

All you have to do is enter the code 'gogreen' when buying your tickets online* and tickets will cost just £10 adults, £8 concessions and £1 children.

The Hospice at Home team will also be at the game rattling their donation tins and supporters are asked to give generously, as well as wear their best green outfit for the day - fancy dress encouraged.

*Discount applies to tickets bought online in advance only. Standard turnstile pricing of £14 adults, £12 concessions (OAP, Armed Forces, Students) and £5 under 16s will be charged on the day.
