Izzy Haigh, Owen Cullen, Tyler Cullen, William Whitelegge and Sam Lloyd all win gold at the British Judo Association Greater Manchester & Cheshire Championships

Izzy Haigh, Owen Cullen, Tyler Cullen, William Whitelegge and Sam Lloyd, who are trained by Judo Paralympian Simon Jackson MBE at Judo Jackson based at Oulder Hill School, all won gold at the British Judo Association Greater Manchester & Cheshire Championships 2015 which took place on Sunday 21 June at Wilmslow Leisure Centre.

Izzy Haigh, who at only 22.3kg, by far the lightest in her category, saw off the stiff competition, one with a straight forward 'ippon', followed by a 'wasari' and a 15 second pin to win the championship.

Owen Cullen, Tyler Cullen, William Whitelegge and Sam Lloyd all took gold to become champions in their respective categories.

Savannah Anderson fought well, during her first ever competition to win silver and Hasan Sharif, Daniel Hinchcliffe, Harley Hollywood and Thomas Shattock all took bronze.

In the senior section, and also in her first ever competition, Courtney Oddy fought well to achieve bronze.

Jason Cullen, who has only been training for a few weeks, held his own and fought some talented and experienced judokas managing to secure a silver medal.
