Gillingham 2 - 0 Rochdale

Date published: 25 November 2015

Goals from Bradley Dack and Deji Oshilaja extended Gillingham's unbeaten home record in League One.

Rochdale created chances throughout the game but the defeat means they have won just once in their last nine league outings and now sit 14th in the table.

Rochdale manager, Keith Hill made two changes to the side that lined up against Doncaster Rovers on Saturday. Joe Rafferty returned from injury to replace Peter Vincenti, and Calvin Andrew came in for Joe Bunney.

Gillingham manager Justin Edinburgh made two changes to the team that lost at Coventry on Saturday, Aaron Morris and Rory Donnelly replacing Josh Wright and Cody McDonald.

Gillingham took the lead when Emmanuel Osadebe found Dominic Samuel who played in Bradley Dack to score his 10th of the season from six yards with a fine finish beyond Dale keeper, Joel Castro Pereira.

Callum Camps and Donal McDermott both forced Gillingham keeper Stuart Nelson into good saves.

Dale played with more urgency in the second half and came close to equalising when James Hooper's effort was turned onto the crossbar.

Dale continued to apply the pressure but were undone when Deji Oshilaja secured Gillingham's win late on with his third goal of the season. John Egan’s upward header from Bradley Garmston’s corner wasn’t cleared, and Oshilaja forced the ball across the line.
