Expert Industrial donates hi-vis waistcoats to Hamer Boxing

Date published: 12 December 2015

Hamer Amateur Boxing Club was given an early Christmas present when Dan Haydock and Dwaine Silverblade of Expert Industrial Services provided the club with free hi-visibility waistcoats so that the young people of the gym can continue with their roadwork during the dark winter months in the knowledge that they will be safe.

Mr Haydock said: "The company decided to gave away 260 children’s hi-vis waistcoats to coincide with national road safety week, which is aimed to keep children within our community safe during the school run in the dark winter months.

"Hamer Amateur Boxing Club got in touch with us and asked if they could have some for their young people who run on the streets of Rochdale on a regular basis during their training sessions.

"After learning that they are a well established organisation with a good reputation withn the community we instantly said yes to them."

Hamer coach Alan Bacon said: “We would like to thank Expert Industrial Services for their kind gesture."

Rachel Earnshaw, 11, said: “We look smart now and we can be seen in the dark when we do our running, which is great."

Expert Industrial Services is based at Halfpenny Bridge Industrial Estate and stocks a range of safety equipment, high visibility and standard work clothing.
