Details:

Facebook has created a group called ‘Birch Hill Hospital’ which has over 650 members with members including staff who worked at Birch Hill Hospital , Rochdale Infirmary & the other Rochdale Hospitals going way back to the 1960’s.

Ex-Nurse Peter Sweetmore and some former colleagues have organised a ‘Grand Reunion’ that is going to take place on Friday. 31 March at the Royal Toby Hotel in Castleton.

Peter stated: “Following the unsuccessful attempt to get ex staff to look round the converted ‘Pennine Block’ at Birch Hill, a number of those interested said they would love to get together to meet old friends and colleagues and see how they have been over the years since. As a result already around 100 are going to meet up, reminisce and enjoy a good old ‘boogie’ to a 60’s / 70’s Disco.”

If anyone would like to go, tickets are just £20, which include a welcome drink, buffet and disco. Tickets can be obtained by contacting Peter at: petesweetmore@hotmail.co.uk or ringing 07792 938 179.

Entry fee: Tickets £20.00
