Council hosting bumper apprenticeship event

Rochdale Council’s Number One Riverside offices will play host to a recruitment event for budding apprentices on Wednesday 20 September.
 
Over 300 live apprenticeship vacancies, from several providers, will be available for apply for or talk to providers about.
 
Andrew Turner, apprenticeship lead at Rochdale Council, said: “This is a must for anyone who wants to take up an apprenticeship, there will be so much on offer and so much information for them. It is fitting that we host such an event given that we really value apprenticeships and currently have 70 in post over the council and schools.”
 
The event is on 10am-4pm and you can drop in at any time, just remember to bring along your CV. The event is open to people of all ages, even those who hold a degree. 
 
Councillor Peter Williams, cabinet member for business, skills and employment said: “The event will be a tremendous help to people looking at apprenticeships and wanting to take that next step to a rewarding career through on the job training. I would encourage people to come down, speak to the providers and get applying.”
