On Track for a Fairytale Ending

Half term adventures with East Lancashire Railway

Calling all Kings, Queens, Princesses, Knights and members of the royal court (and Megan Markle too) - a royal adventure awaits aboard a beautiful steam train with the East Lancashire Railway’s ‘Princess Academy’.

The theatrical event, taking place on 22 February, is especially created for girls and boys aged three to 10 years. Led by a team of fairytale Princesses who will guide the children through a quest to solve the mystery of the stolen magical gems of Storybook Land.

As the grown up Princesses share royal skills, the children will have their new Knightly know-how and prized Princess expertise put to the test as they rescue everyone’s happy ever afters.

Starting in Bury, this two hour experience is packed full of activities both on the platform and aboard the ‘royal carriage’, pulled by a remarkably restored heritage steam train.

Royal members are kindly requested to wear their own grand garbs (costume) as there will be plenty of photo opportunities with the nation’s favourite characters.

The experience is £13 for Kings and Queens (adults), £8.50 for little Princesses and Knights (two-17 years), and little munchkins on knees (children under two) are free.

Various start times between 10am and 2.30pm.
Duration 2 - 2.5 hours.
Book tickets online via East Lancs Railway web site (link below).
