Heywood Christmas Festival and Lights Switch On

Our Christmas Markets are opening from 11am outside Heywood Civic Centre with lots to do including childrens rides, miniature railway, festive food and drink, a Christmas concert outside St Luke's Church and walk around the stalls, including arts and crafts and Christmas gifts.

Santa Claus and Mother Claus are making their way to Heywood Magic Market on the day. The festive pair will be welcoming visitors into their grotto every Saturday from 11am - 3pm until they return to Lapland on 21 December. Visits are £2 and every child will receive a small gift. Photographs are also available for an additional £3.

4pm - a lantern parade, including floats, through the town centre.

4.15pm - Nativity parade leaves The Heywood at 4.15pm. Dress as angels, wisemen or wisewomen, shephers, animals, kings or any other nativity character.

5pm - Christmas Lights Switch On followed by a grand finale fireworks display.

The Christmas Festival is organised by Heywood Business Group on behalf of Heywood Township.
