Details:

CommuniTea through it's Basic Inspirations project has organised an Open day on Materials Science Degree Apprenticeship Opportunities taking place on Saturday 11 June at the CommuniTea Room. It will be facilitated by industry experts who will be on hand to share details of these opportunities.

The open day will consist of a brief talk, support for those interested and help with making the application to complete a degree apprenticeship in Material's Science.

The Level 6 Materials Science Technologist Degree Apprenticeship is co-designed with a range of industry partners — including a local, national and international network of leading companies and provides an alternative route to recruit school/college leavers, and the opportunity to grow own talent.

The course will deliver against the Materials Science Technologist standard. The apprenticeship includes a combination of work-based learning modules and specialist education, which leads to a BEng (Honours) Materials Technology.

The apprentices will be paid £14.5k per annum and provided time to complete their degree alongside learning the job based within a company.
