Themed: Themed: Nigeria Independence Day Flag Raising Ceremony.

This year's event is even more special as we mark the fifth anniversary of the Nigerian Community Association based in Rochdale.

It's a momentous occasion to celebrate the community's achievements and contributions over the past five years.

The Nigeria Community Association Flag Raising Ceremony originally scheduled for October 1st at Rochdale Borough Council will not take place on that date due to the council's closure on Sundays. Instead, we have rescheduled the Flag Raising ceremony a day early to Saturday.

There is also a celebration event at Castlemere Banqueting Hall on Nigeria Independence Day (1 October). Click here for more details: www.rochdaleonline.co.uk/events/73473/events-in-rochdale/black-history-month-celebrating-nigeria-independence-day
