HOPEWALK2023 for PAPYRUS Prevention of Young Suicide

Details:

PAPYRUS walk will take place on Saturday 14 October and they have planned a route of approximately 5 miles (3 hours) and 10 miles (6.5 hours).

The 5 mile route starts at Hollingworth Lake and finishes at the North Star, High Crompton.

Note: you will need to get yourselves to the start point at Hollingworth Lake.

The 10 mile route starts and finishes at the North Star, High Crompton.

Each group of walkers must have a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 6 people.

If you wish to take part, please email Hopewalk2023@aol.com for a registration form which needs to be completed and returned to them before Saturday 30 September.

The event will cost £5 Per Person.

Please feel free to gather sponsorship for this event too, and share the Just Giving details.

A form will be sent when you request a registration form.

You will be notified of a start time closer to the day, but you can expect that it will be between 9am and 11am for the 10mile walk and between 12pm and 2pm for the 5mile walk.

All participants should check in both at the start point and upon completion of the walk, along with any checkpoints along the route.

There will be a craft stall, cake sales, raffles and tombola and an act on in the North Star Pub from 12pm and continuing after the completion of the walk.

(Cash preferred for the purchases from these stalls).

Entry fee: £5 per walker. Pub event only - entry free.
