Rochdale-based Zen Internet has been named Which? Telecoms Service Provider 2016 in the consumer champion’s annual awards.

The judges said: “Stellar customer service has helped Zen Internet win big at the Which? Awards, and our latest customer satisfaction survey saw 70% of users describe the service as ‘excellent’.

“Although Zen Internet’s prices are typically higher than those from other providers, the premium service justifies the investment.”

The Which? Awards were launched in 2007 to celebrate and reward the very best businesses in the UK. Each year Which? select those companies and individuals that consistently get it right for consumers.

They recognise businesses that have achieved positive change and deliver excellent products and services that score highly in Which? research and testing.

Andrew Fryatt, Managing Director at Zen Small Business & Residential, said: “It’s great to be recognised in these awards as we always aim to provide the best service in the UK for both telephony and broadband.

“Customers regularly praise our outstanding customer service and it’s a real credit to our staff that we are now Which? Telecoms Service Provider 2016, in addition to already being recommended as Which?’s number one broadband provider.”

Which? telecoms expert Jon Barrow said: “Zen offers customers the flexibility to choose from a wide range of broadband packages, including standalone deals that let you take out a phone service from a different provider and short one-month contracts.”

Zen is already a Which? Recommended Provider for Broadband Services– an accolade the company received in March.

Mr Fryatt said “Being a Which? Recommended Provider for Broadband Services is a real testament to the hard work of Team Zen but also confirms we are doing right by our customers, a fact which was underscored with five-star ratings for ease of set-up, reliability, clarity of bill, ease of contacting, customer service and technical support, out-performing all other providers.”

Which? found that 98% of Zen customers are satisfied with its service and that 95% of customers would recommend it to a friend – higher than any other provider.
