Advertorial

Dresser Mouldings, the local timber manufacturer specialising in the production of fine timber mouldings has just opened a new Trade Counter to make it easier for traders and the general public to access its products.

In their Wood Street factory, the company produces fine wood carvings and mouldings, timber columns, door linings, oak flooring, skirtings, wood turnings, handrails, louvres, newel posts, balusters and a wide range of products at factory prices. Their product list is almost endless and their full catalogue is available on their website. Many of their lines can be viewed in their on-site, modern showroom.

The company can undertake, assembly work, bespoke machining and profiling, computer-controlled cutting and drilling, spray finishing, fire retardant treatments and expert vacuum-coating and factory-finish spray painting and lacquering. They can work from computer or hand drawings in order to provide the service that you need at a price that you can afford.

As it manufactures timber goods on its own premises, customers can be sure of products of the highest quality and get a fully bespoke service with staff on hand to offer expert support and advice. So whether you are a joiner, builder, shopfitter or are simply seeking to give your home a makeover, Dresser, in its location close to the town centre, really should be your first port of call.

A particular product in the company’s range which has excited customers is the Softcurve handrail which does away with the old type of discontinuous pig’s ear handrail with dead ends and mitered corners. The Softcurve system introduces a continuous system that literally flows round the building in an unbroken line including stairwells. This has been welcomed by the care and retirement industry where cost effective safety and accessibility solutions are a priority. The system has also been widely taken up by the hotel, leisure and cruise-line industry where aesthetics and safety are prime considerations.

Despite the current economic climate, the strong, customer-focused ethos together with its commitment to embrace innovation and technological change has enabled the company to expand from its small, start-up premises to a modern, fully equipped 50,000 square foot manufacturing facility.

At the heart of the company is their mission statement which says that Dresser is, 'Committed to continually improving its social and environmental responsibilities. We are committed to providing our customers and employees in a partnership sharing in our success.'

The company is affiliated to Forest stewardship Council, the trade organisation promoting responsible forestry and, among other timbers, uses pine, American white oak, ash, sapele, beech, maple and Thermowood; all harvested from ethical, renewable sources.
