Visit Rochdale’s Business Exhibition

A showcase of Rochdale’s business talent will return to the Town Hall on Wednesday 8 May and is open to the public from 4.00pm to 8.00pm.

The Rochdale Rochdale Rochdale (RRR) Business Exhibition, in the Great Hall, allows businesses to network and showcase their services.

Stands will also be selling to the public with gifts, bags, jewellery, books and photography.

The exhibition follows the success of the inaugural event last year, when 26 exhibitors showcased the wealth of business talent on offer in Rochdale, even in this difficult economic climate.

Many businesses at the last exhibition, which took place in September, saw immediate benefits and gained new customers off the back of it.

With the total cost of running a stall working out at just £35 for the event, the exhibition will allow Rochdale’s traders and services to share in these benefits.

Rochdale Online’s Pauline Journeaux said: “The RRR Business Exhibition is a great way of showing the North West what fantastic businesses we have in the borough of Rochdale.

“RRR is all about ‘Highlighting Rochdale Borough's Pride & Productivity’, we did that last year, and we will do it again this year.

“The Business Exhibition has been organised and funded by the local business community. Rochdale is very much ‘open for business’!”

Mark Iveson, of Hillarys Blinds, was quick to see the benefits of attending September’s event.

“Following our last Trade Fair I am pleased to report that I did some business off the back of it - from another stall-holder I met on the day,” he said.

Howard Wilkinson, of Howard Wilkinson Photography, also shared those sentiments after picking up work from the exhibition.

“I made a good contact with another stall holder who has given me work, and referred me to another local business who has also given me work,” he said. “It was well worth being there.”

Alongside picking up business, the exhibition also helps to promote the services on offer in Rochdale as Junction 21’s John Byrne discovered last year.

“It was a great success for J21,” he explained. “Ninety per cent of people I spoke to didn’t realize Rochdale had its own corporate taxi company.

“I picked up business on the day and I’m still doing so. It was a great event and I made sure I was first in the queue for the next one.”

The RRR Business Exhibition at Rochdale Town Hall is on Wednesday 8 May 4.00pm to 8.00pm.
