Rochdale’s newest abaya and hijab business slashes its prices for the holy month of Ramadhan as Yumnas Abaya shop, Rochdale, opened its doors for customers on Tweedale Street.

The shop offers a large collection of abayas, scarfs, perfumes and accessories to the general public.

Proprietor, Mohammad Zubair said: “We are very excited about the business and think it is the perfect time to be opening with the Metrolink opening and the regeneration work going on in the town centre. And in celebration of the coming of Ramadan we’ve slashed all prices of abayas to a flat rate of £25 and any 3 scarves for only £10!

"The shop has a traditional feel with a modern twist. We want people to come in and browse and to try on before buying.

“We have tried to cater for all tastes, but are always up for new challenges as modern styles and designs become popular.

"Some of the abaya dresses, although modest in nature are worn by people of all races/ religions.

"Different places have different names for them such as jilbaabs, gallabiyyas, kaftans and in English they are simply known as the maxi dress.”

So far the most popular designs have been the umbrella style, military style, cowl neck and polo neck abaya dresses.

The shop opening hours are:

Monday - Saturday 11.00am - 7.00pm
