Roller City Rochdale is back as the North West's Premier skate centre and is set for a busy summer. After reopening in December 2012 after nearly 15 years of closure, Roller City is planning an eventful summer of roller skating events for everyone.

The membership based skating centre is holding a number of events over the summer months including a summer holiday skate camp, skatercise and over 18s music nights a UV night, Fun Day and much more.

Membership to the skate centre is a one off payment of £2.50, with admission costing £5 during the morning/daytime and £6 during the evening. Membership is completed by the Roller City team at the centre upon arrival.

There will be three sessions of public Roller Disco seven days a week throughout the school holidays from 11-1pm, 2-4pm and 7-10pm.

A Summer Skate Camp is also starting at the beginning of the school holidays for anyone age 5+ from 9am-6pm every day. Prices are as low as £60 per week for block bookings for the whole of the holidays.

Skatercise classes are already running on Wednesday evenings for anyone wanting to get fit and burn calories, and there is also a Sunday morning Skate Club for beginners as well as those wanting to improve skating skills.

Classes in Streetdance have also started for young people and there are plans to introduce Zumba and Fitness classes for mums.

Roller City is also due to open ‘the Cavern’ function room in July which will host functions including live music events for local bands.

The Roller City team offers great promotions for its membership including £3 per person admission nights offering members a cheaper night. Some promotions also include members being able to bring non members for free or half price.

Roller City currently has over 20,000 members and the company is working with other local organisations to offer Roller City member's discount.
