CJ Partnership close to completing phase two of retirement complex

Date published: 19 August 2014

CJ Partnership, an architecture based in Castleton, that specialises in sustainable, design has almost completed phase two of Birtle Brook Retirement Village, which will open up 40 new homes in the complex.

Paul Clark, owner/architect at CJ Partnership, said: “Some of the homes have already been reserved, which is excellent to hear. People will be able to move in from September.”

“It will be so nice to see the build finally completed. After that, we have one phase left which will see a block of 12 homes built. We hope that this will be finished next year.”

Birtle Brook is a redevelopment of an old industrial mill within the green-belt, and has won several awards for its innovative design.

Birtle Brook is situated in the village of Birtle, which straddles both Rochdale and Bury. The retirement village is set in 60 acres of countryside, and boasts a bistro, crown bowling green, well-stocked seven acre fishing lake and award-winning landscaped gardens.
