Rochdale based Lancashire Farm Dairies has won 11 awards for a range of its yogurt and dairy products.

Lancashire Farm won the awards at two summer shows - the Nantwich International Cheese Awards 2015 and the Great Yorkshire Show in Harrogate.

Lancashire Farm’s Greek Style Yogurt and Mango Yogurt products both won gold awards in the ‘Natural Yogurt Cow’s Milk’ and ‘Low Fat Fruit/Flavoured’ categories, respectively.

Lancashire Farm’s Strawberry Yogurt also picked up silver and Lancashire Farm’s Coconut Yogurt won bronze in the ‘Low Fat Fruit/Flavoured’ category at Nantwich.

Lancashire Farm also won another five awards at the Great Yorkshire Show winning three golds, one silver and a bronze. Lancashire Farm’s Strawberry Yogurt was awarded gold in the ‘Low Fat Yogurt Flavoured’ category, while its Natural Bio Yogurt won the top prize in the ‘Whole Milk Yogurt Natural’ category.

Lancashire Farm’s Soured Cream picked up the third gold Award in the ‘Newly Launched Dairy Product’ category and was also awarded bronze in the ‘Cream’ category.

A silver award was picked up in the ‘Whole Milk Yogurt Flavoured’ category, for Lancashire Farm’s Raita.

Two further awards were also picked up across the two shows, with Lassi Ayran and Mango Lassi both picking up gold and silver, respectively.

The Nantwich International Cheese Awards and the Great Yorkshire Show welcomed a wide range of participants, from small local producers to the ‘big four’ supermarkets all competing for the awards.

Commenting on the recent award wins, Azhar Zouq, managing director at Lancashire Farm, said: “We are delighted to receive these awards. The recognition we have received across our range is real testimony to our product testing and we are continually looking to improve our range in order to offer our customers the best possible products.

“The competition in both shows was very strong and to win these awards in so many categories really emphasises the strength of our products.”

The Lancashire Farm Dairies range uses the best ingredients including milk directly from farms in Lancashire to create consistently good flavours.

Mr Zouq added: “We have been creating yogurts for over 30 years and our customers tell us that our products are part of their everyday routine – we’re proud of that and we want to help make deliciously good yogurts available to more people every day.”
