Evans closing down
Evans, the fashion retailer located in The Wheatsheaf Shopping Centre, will close down on Saturday 19 September 2015.
Debbie Hernon, Wheatsheaf Shopping Centre Manager said: “I can confirm that Evans will be closing their store in the Wheatsheaf Shopping Centre as they have come to the end of their lease.
“It’s always sad when a store closes, however the retail market fluctuates greatly and retailers have to work really hard to keep up with current customer demands.
"There are many things on the horizon for the Wheatsheaf and the recent statements about Wilko’s and Argos now remaining in the Centre are extremely positive and show a confidence in the new shopping centre owners.”
Located on the ground floor of the shopping centre, this was the only branch of Evans in Rochdale.
The nearest is now in Manchester.
Evans did not respond to our request for comment.
