Chantilly shortlisted for Stars Underlines Best Shop Award

Date published: 26 October 2015

Rochdale based lingerie shop Chantilly has been shortlisted for a Stars Underlines Best Shop Award.

Marjorie Thompson, from Chantilly, said: “It is a big deal and I am very proud that we have been shortlisted. It shows that we are held in high regard by the people who nominated us and that means a lot.”

Organised by Underlines Magazine, Stars is unique in the UK retail award scene as stores, shops and retail sites cannot nominate themselves, but are put forward by the brands on the jury - it is by reputation, good business practice and good service that the outlets gain a place on the finalist roster, with the event drawing together every sector of retailing in the UK and Ireland.

Marjorie added: “It is quite a prestigious thing to be shortlisted for and there are some big named brands nominated so I am really privileged that we are even shortlisted.”

Winners of this year’s awards will be revealed at a gala ceremony on Thursday 12 November at the Globe Theatre in London and as well as trophies the winners have a chance to win a trip to Paris, an overnight stay at a luxurious Eden Spa, one year’s membership of Fashion Association of Britain and an all-expenses paid trip to Moda Lingerie & Swimwear, the national trade event.

“This award is on an international scale so it is an honour to have been shortlisted every year for the last seven years. The thing is, it is a public vote so it is now about getting people to vote for us,” said Marjorie
