Hornets out for revenge
Date published: 01 March 2014
Rochdale Hornets are out to avenge the mauling dished out at Cougar Park in pre-season on Sunday, as Keighley Cougars come to Spotland.
Ian Talbot's men were heavily defeated in January in Baltic conditions, as the experienced Cougars team gave the Championship new boys a serious wake up call.
Sunday is set to be a different affair, as Hornets welcome Fiji International Ryan Millard and powerhouse outside back Sam Te'o to the team that ran the impressive Dewsbury Rams close in the season opener at Spotland last Sunday.
Danny Davies is struggling with a shoulder injury and will join Warren Thompson for a late fitness test.
Captain Wayne English is unavailable, along with Alex McClurg.
Dave Hull and Benji Lloyd will return to their Community Clubs, Thatto Heath and Saddleworth respectively, as they look to maintain match fitness.
Hornets will also again utilise players on dual registration from St Helens.
The game kicks off at 3.00pm with entry priced at £14 adults, £12 concessions (OAPs, serving armed forces, under 16s)
