Hornets Secure Quirky Sponsorship
The Quirky Catering Company will be Rochdale Hornets' main shirt sponsor in 2016.

The family owned Quirky Catering Company has worked with Rochdale Hornets over the last 12 months providing pre match meals, catering for the players post-match and catering at various events.

Hornets home jersey

Members and sponsors of Rochdale Hornets came together at Spotland Stadium for the unveiling of the 2016 Rochdale Hornets home jersey, which is available now for pre-order with guaranteed Christmas delivery.

The jersey, the first made by new kit supplier Surridge Sports, features a new main sponsor for the first time in six years, as the Quirky Catering Company take pride and place across the front.

Develop and Colour Copier Company continue their long standing relationship and well established local firm Molesworths Solicitors make their debut.

The launch featured a video of 2015 top try scorer Dale Bloomfield in a short video compiled by Hopwood Hall College and members got the chance to see the jersey in the flesh as club captain Wayne English was present on the night to show it in all of its glory.

The Law Cup is back

The Law Cup will return in 2016 as Rochdale Hornets host neighbours Oldham on Sunday 17 January at Spotland Stadium.

It will be three years on from their last meeting in the pre-season fixture where Oldham edged the contest 24-22.

It will also be 25 seasons since the two sides battled it out in front of a record crowd of 8,150 on Boxing Day, a game in which the Hornets were victorious in the 1989/90 season.

To mark the anniversary players who took part on that day will be invited as special guests.

Hospitality for the game, as well as for the clash with Salford Red Devils on 10t January, is now on sale.

For £300, guests can enjoy a hospitality box for the day which includes a hot meal and match tickets for 10 people as well as programmes and team sheets and a pre-game visit from a member of the squad.

Email info@hornetsrugbyleague.com or call 01706 648004 to book.

Free fun for children

The annual Rochdale Hornets children's Christmas party is on 13 December

From 2pm in the main lounge at Spotland children of all ages and their parents are welcome for a disco, karaoke and party games with DJ Glenn followed by a visit from Gru, his minions and Christmas friends.

It is also hoped that Santa will be able to visit and drop off selection boxes for the children, which have been sponsored by SFN PR.

Hot-dogs and nibbles for the children will also be on offer, all free of charge.

With Super Sunday football on for the dads, a visit from the full squad, the bar open as well, it is the perfect setting to start your Christmas festivities.
