Outward Bound Trip 

Over 60 children from Holy Trinity year 4 and 5, went on the trip to the Outward Bound Trust at Ullswater, along with a few from year 6 who wanted to go again.

They had a fantastic weekend of adventure at end of June, being challenged and developing skills and life skills. “Surely what education should be about” said Mark Kenyon.

Swimming

Holy Trinity won all the categories in the Rochdale Schools Swimming Gala.

Holy Trinity Head Teacher Mark Kenyon said: “It was good to compete against other schools and we thank everyone from Link 4 Life for organizing the gala and a massive thanks to Middleton Arena for hosting the Rochdale Schools Gala.

Wardle Swimming Pool

The children have written letters to Councillor Janet Emsley regarding the battle to re-open Wardle Swimming Pool.

Councillor Emsley visited the children and they discussed the value of this community asset. The children enjoyed her visit and felt that their curriculum work and writing had a purpose.

Sport

The Lacrosse National finals in Sheffield were held at the end of June and Holy Trinity came 9th. Mark Kenyon said: “It’s a massive achievement for a small school.”

Holy Trinity were also the winners of the small school aggregate award at Springhill Athletics in June where all the Pennine schools compete in athletics.
