“I have really enjoyed my time here at St Anne’s. I was here for my GCSEs then I decided to go to a college in Manchester to do my A Levels, but I didn’t enjoy it and hated the traveling, so come back to St Anne’s after a couple of weeks.

“I really like the teachers and all the support they give you, it’s a smaller and everyone is really helpful.”

Niall Murry was also really happy with his results, he got a Distinction**,  Merit and a Distinction in Law and Media Studies.

Niall said: “I am going on to Edge Hill to study law with the aim of being a barrister, I would then like to progress, eventually, to be a judge.

“I like to be in front of people and talk” he said.

Nikki Lukasik gained a Distinction A* and a merit in law and is going on to Manchester Law School.

Nikki said: “I want to be a lawyer.

“I have loved it here, it’s laid back, but with plenty of support and everyone is so helpful.

“I travel from Milnrow to get here each day, but it’s really worth the journey.”

Maxine Eddleston, Director of Sixth Form at St Anne’s Academy, said: “We take time with each student, they are all different and they all have different expectations and abilities.

“It’s not all about results, it’s getting the best from each student not matter what course they are one whether it's vocational programmes or academic subjects.

“We have students who are going on to work with animals, a few going into film and television, nursing, law and sport.
