Date published: 23 August 2016

The Borough of Rochdale Young Advisors Team won an Impact and Influence Award for the difference they have made in the Borough of Rochdale at the National Young Advisors Conference on 17 August.

The Young Advisor Network has grown substantially during 2016 with a host of new teams being added to the network. However, rising above all the other teams across England, the team from the Borough of Rochdale scooped the Impact award.

This is the second National Young Advisor Award the team has scooped, winning best new team in 2015.

Supported by Rochdale and District Mind the young people joined the National Young Advisor Network in April 2015.

Tricia Hornby, Chief Executive of Rochdale and District Mind, said: “This award is a fantastic recognition of the work of this dynamic group of young people from Rochdale.”
