Wardle Academy pleased with GCSE results

Joshua Fletcher, 16 from Littleborough, received nine A*s and one A and is going to Rochdale Sixth Form College to study Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. He said he was really not expecting them results and received 100% in his Physics exams.

Hannah Timperley, 16, received eight A*s and two As, is going to Rochdale Sixth Form College to study Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths and is hoping to become a Plastic Surgeon in the future.

Emily Pilling, 16 from Wardle, received one A*, eight As, and one B, is going to Rochdale Sixth Form College to study Maths, Chemistry and Biology. She is hoping to study Veterinary Science in the future and become a vet.

Hannah Sproston and Daniel Sproston: Hannah received two A*s, five As and three Bs. Daniel received three A*s, five As and two Cs. Both going to Rochdale Sixth Form College. Hannah is studying French, Sociology and Psychology and Daniel is studying Biology, Chemistry and Economics.

Jay Hall received four A*s, four As and two Bs, is going to Rochdale Sixth Form College to study Maths, Economics and History.

Patrick Teper received six A*s, three Bs and one C, is going to Rochdale Sixth Form College and is studying Maths, Geography and Physics.

  • Sophie Phan: Five A*, five A
  • India Law: Five A*, five A, one B
  • Oscar Baker: Four A*, four A, two B
  • Ailsa Wilson: Three A*, seven A
  • Josiah Williams: Three A*, four A, three B
  • Justyna Uche-Eze: One A*, eight A, one B, one C

Carole Fisher, head teacher, said: We are extremely pleased with the progress of our students. There have been many outstanding performances and it has been lovely to see that so many students now have the grades they need to carry on being successful.
