Free afternoon music taster of the Deeply Vale event

Chris Hewitt festival organiser of the Deeply Vale 40th Anniversary Two Day Festival and Mick Spratt from Wigwam Acoustics have put together a Deeply Vale Electro Acoustic outside stage at Heywood Civic Centre on Saturday 17 September from 1.00pm to 5.00pm.

The event will include performances from George Borowski and Mora, Johnny Velvet, BBC 6 Music stars Crude Oil Inc, Boo Long, Tom Winstanley, Reverend Mike Huck and Mick Spratt.

Chris Hewitt said: "We wanted to give the public of Heywood a free afternoon music taster of what the Deeply Vale event is all about so with the help of Wigwam Acoustics who are supporting the whole event and doing the indoor sound too we have put an outside stage area together on the Civic Centre Concourse.

"This should be a really great weekend, the campsite in Heywood is fully booked and campsites at Hollingworth Lake and Denshaw as well as the areas hotels and B and B s are filling up with music fans attending the Deeply Vale Festival at Heywood on Saturday and Sunday.

“A large contingent of Gong/Steve Hillage fans are travelling from the Isle of Man plus fans from two areas of Holland, France, Germany and Sweden, as well as UK fans from as far afield as Dundee, Sussex, Cornwall and Kent.

"Radio ,TV and film crews are also getting ready to descend on Heywood Civic Centre for Saturday and Sunday this weekend.

"One filmmaker from New Zealand is in Heywood to make a film of the Deeply Vale Concert and interview locals and attendees from further away about what is so magical about Rochdale's Deeply Vale legend."
