Neil Dearden, known to many as ‘Gas Man’
An appeal is being made to help fund the costs of Neil Dearden’s funeral after he died in hospital on Saturday 24 September.
Mr Dearden, known to many as ‘Gas Man’, is understood to have been in his early 40s.
Mohammed Yousaf, who decided to raise the money for Mr Dearden’s funeral, said: “I didn’t realise how many people knew him. Everyone knew who he was and the amount of praise coming in for him is astonishing.
“Many have donated because they recognise he was human like me and you.”
A burial service has been confirmed, although a date has not been set.
