Hamer Community Primary School

Date published: 25 November 2016

Just a reminder that we are holding a Maths Curriculum afternoon for EYFS & KS1 parents on Friday 2 December at 2.30pm. This session will allow us to demonstrate the strategies, methods and resources that we use in school. Our Maths Ambassadors will be on hand to explain and demonstrate what we currently do. Please can parents try and come along.

Thank you to those parents who came along to our assembly on Thursday which was on the subject of attendance. The local authority has emailed to say our overall attendance for the last half term was 96.29%. Thank you for your efforts, but we are aiming for 98% as a minimum and would love to reach this during this half term. Please can parents do everything you can to support us.

A letter was sent out last week advising of footwear requirements for in school, children can travel to school wearing wellies or boots, but must have a pair of black sensible shoes to change into.

Just an advance notice that there will be no Sports Clubs on the last week of term due to Christmas activities taking place in the hall. Children who usually attend these clubs will need to be collected from school at normal finishing time on these days.

Places are available for children across the whole of school in our Breakfast Club. Following feedback from parents, we have extended the hours for this and children can now be dropped off from 8:00am (if they require a breakfast please ensure children arrive before 8.30am.) The price remains the same as last year at only £1 per day and this is exceptional value in comparison to other providers in the area. Payment needs to be made in advance for the half term to secure a place. Places can be full time or for selected days each week. Please see the school office for further details.
