Remembrance book opened for staff member Carole Sharples at The Lighthouse Project

A book of remembrance has been opened at the Lighthouse Project Middleton following the death of long-standing staff member, Carole Sharples.

The well-loved member of staff died during the early hours of Tuesday 19 September following a period of illness. Her colleagues have described her death as ‘a complete shock to us all’.

A representative for The Lighthouse Project said: “She will be a great loss to us, and to the many who she supported and encouraged through her kindness and bubbly enthusiasm of everything Lighthouse.

“We have stood together alongside each other through many challenges over these last few years and throughout she has been a real positive influence and highly valued member of the Lighthouse team.

“At this time please pray for the comfort of her immediate family, who like us must be totally shocked at her passing, and for all of those who she was close to.”

The book has been opened for people to share their comments and memories of Carole, any of the good things that she has contributed to their lives, or the things they will most remember her for.

A celebratory event will be held at the Lighthouse Project after her funeral, which is to be arranged, in honour of Carole and her legacy.
