Heywood Celebrates St George’s Day
Heywood councillors celebrated St George’s Day with a flag raising ceremony in Heywood Memorial Gardens.
Councillor Peter Rush said: “Myself, councillors Carol Wardle, Susan Emmott and Ray Dutton proudly raised the Saint George Flag.
There were also representatives from the armed forces, and ‘St George’ himself made an appearance.
St George’s Day has been celebrated around the borough with a range of special events.
