The daughter of a former Rochdale Hornets chairman has graduated from the University of Manchester with a Master’s Degree in Gender, Sexuality and Culture.
Olivia Wynn, 24, an accommodation officer at the Manchester Central School of English, also holds a BSc in Psychology with American Studies from the University of Sussex which included a year’s placement at the University of Texas.
The graduation ceremony at Whitworth Hall was followed by a lunch at The Botanist, where staff even presented Olivia with a bottle of prosecco on the house.
Father Mark Wynn, who stepped down as Hornets chairman earlier this year, said: “As parents all you want is the best for your children. We are really proud of what Olivia has achieved. She has worked incredibly hard to get her degrees, so it’s nice to see all her hard work rewarded.
“She has been fortunate to study at some great universities in Brighton, Texas and Manchester, which has meant she has had some incredible experiences along the way.
“Hopefully more local students can go to university and achieve their potential.”
