Date published: 10 February 2009

A family of a missing teenager has made a public appeal to help him return home safely.

Daniel Sharples has been missing from his Smallbridge home since Wednesday 4 February.

The 15-year-old is thought to have been wearing a tracksuit jacket with a blue and white collar and red and white striped sleeves, with black casual bottoms, plain black Reebok trainers and a black and white hat.

He has also been described as having blue eyes, dark blonde hair and about 5ft 7ins in height.

A concerned family member who has not been named said: “This is an appeal to anyone that has seen Daniel or might know his whereabouts. He has been missing from Smallbridge area in Rochdale since Wednesday the 4th February.

“All of his family and friends are very worried about him”.

A spokesperson from Greater Manchester Police has decided not to comment for legal reasons.
