The Rotary Club of Middleton Father Christmas float was touring the streets of Langley on Monday 12 December.

Father Christmas waved and talked to children on Borrowdale Road, Windermere Road, Burnside Crescent, Newton Crescent, Millbeck Road, Fairbank Drive, Searness Road and Bowness Road.

Helping Santa on the float was the Manchester Girls Football team along with Steve Epstein who set up the team in Middleton after he saw the potential in girl’s football.

Lee Wolf, chairman of Rotary Middleton’s Community Service team, said: “Thank you for the support you have given Rotary Middleton Father Christmas Float collection.

“Special thanks to the very nice lady and her son last week on Brackley Drive; her son collects his loose change all year to donate to the Rotary Middleton Father Christmas collection when the float passes each year. Thank you so much for saving up all year, you are a star.”

Father Christmas said: “Back to base after a long and successful night, so good to see so many children to wave to (and mum's and dads). If you missed me, I'm sorry, but you can always find me another night, or help me out by donating on:
