Milnrow Band’s final two weeks of rehearsals for British Brass Band Open Championship

Milnrow Band performing at the Whit Friday Saddleworth Contests
Milnrow Band is in the final two weeks of rehearsals for its British Brass Band Open Championship appearance, on Saturday 9 September.
The venue is the Symphony Hall Birmingham and the band is competing against such elite as Black Dyke, Grimethorpe, Cory, Brighouse and Rastrick, Fodens, Faireys and the Valaisia brass band from Switzerland (Swiss Champions)
The test piece is 'Fraternity', by French composer Thierry Deleruyelle.
Ken Watts, Milnrow Band President said: “Conductor Mark Bentham, band members and supporters, are prepared and looking forward to this latest challenge. We wish them well in their endeavours.”
