Link4Life (the Rochdale Boroughwide Cultural Trust funded by Rochdale Council) is under fire for offering a fee in the region of £5,000 for a consultant to 'audit and review our current marketing, communications and audience development activity'.
A local public sector employee who tipped Rochdale Online off, and who wishes to remain anonymous, said: "£5,000 for a consultant to tell them what they should already know is ludicrous and a waste of taxpayers' money.
"The current management team at Link4Life should have the expertise and if they do not then why are we paying them fat cat salaries?"
Link4Life recently appointed a new Chief Executive:

Link4Life was established on 1 April 2007 to provide cultural and leisure services as commissioned by Rochdale Borough Council under a 15 year partnership agreement.
Link4Life has been invited to comment.
