Teenage boy taken to hospital after collision - Manchester Road closed

A teenage boy has been taken to hospital after a collision with a silver Nissan outside the Highfield Hospital at around 4.05pm on Monday (15 January).
The road is closed in both directions and the junction of Manchester Road and New Barn Lane is blocked.
Police are still at the scene.

UPDATE
The teenager, who is believed to be around 15-years-old, has been taken to Royal Manchester Children's Hospital with head and leg injuries.
