Wardle Academy’s Youth Band
Wardle Academy Youth Band had the honour of performing at the RNCM Festival of Brass along with bands such as Black Dyke, Fairies, Brighouse and Rastrick, on Saturday 27 January.
The band performed Smoke Sketches, which was part of their winning programme at the National Youth Brass Band contest and featured Millie, performing the euphonium solo 'Rhapsody for Euphonium'.
The band are looking forward to their next performance, which sees them performing at the GM Glamour Ball at Lancashire Cricket Club in March.
Following this, the band will be performing at the Nationals, hoping to retain their finals at the European Youth Brass Band Contest in Utrecht in May.
