Geoff Doggett 5k raises £430 for charity

The Geoff Doggett 5k at Cown Reservoir raised £430 for charity on Tuesday 1 May.
The course included two laps, starting and finishing at the Treatment works.
Billy McCartney won the race in a fine time of 16.50, and Paula Pilling won the ladies’ with 20.01.
The funds were split between five causes with four each receiving £100 - Mollie Campbell (Whitworth’s Commonwealth Silver Medal Winner), Springhill Hospice, the ‘Save Samantha Smith’ appeal and Jen Townson’s GNR for ‘Breast Cancer’.
The remaining £30 went to Multiple Sclerosis.
