Traffic diverted through Littleborough after water main bursts in Mytholmroyd
Date published: 06 September 2018
A burst water main in Mytholmroyd has diverted traffic through Littleborough.
Littleborough Lakeside councillor Janet Emsley said: “There is a burst water main in the centre of Mytholmroyd which occurred on Tuesday evening. The severity of the burst has resulted in the closure of the A646 (Burnley Road).
“Part of the diversion route is through Littleborough on Todmorden Road (A6033) and Halifax Road (A58). Traffic along Canal Street and Hollingworth Road is also affected.
“We have been advised that the road is likely to remain closed until at least Friday or Saturday this week.
“We have contacted colleagues within TfGM who manage and control all traffic signals within the borough to make any possible changes to the timings of the signals in this location to try and ease the congestion during this time.”
